RoRo Breivoll
ur client requested a re-design of the existing emergency Ferjekai RoRo solutions. The current system will be replaced and the Statens Vegvesen preferred to have an easy to install system, installed on their pontoons, designed to handle the current axle loads and the demands of the current times.
Janson Bridging Engineering designed a new Ferjekai, based on the beam bridge concept. The standard elements are 21 meter long and 2,5 meter wide. A RoRo-extension flap of 3 meter can be pin-connected to the elements.
The first project with this new lay-out has been installed in Breivoll, Norway.
