Connecting bridge during excavation work

The WarmtelinQ project is an underground main transport pipeline (heat transport network) that utilizes residual heat released from industrial processes and waste incineration in the Port of Rotterdam. Instead of discharging this unused heat, WarmtelinQ transports it to other municipalities to sustainably heat homes and businesses.

For the construction of a pipeline in the Port of Rotterdam area, our client must cross an emergency route for the fire department and other emergency services. This route must, of course, remain open. Therefore, a temporary bridge, 21 meters long, was chosen over the excavation trench, allowing work to be carried out while maintaining the road connection.
